Cultural Achievements

Cultural awareness and participation play an integral role in a Somerset student's education.
Our cultural programme has the following aims:
To give all students the opportunity to be involved in culturally enriching activities. To give those students with special talents a chance to extend themselves and to grow in their area of expertise. To expand our students’ appreciation of cultural activities.

Music Performance
Music at Somerset College forms an integral part of the day to day lives of the students. Whether they are aspiring singers, instrumentalists or entertainers, there are many ways to participate in making music and developing performance and presentation skills.
Debating, Mooting and Speaking
Somerset College has a rich history in Debating, Mooting and Public Speaking. Throughout the school year there are many opportunities for students to be involved in, particularly from Years 4 to 12.
Drama
The study of Drama allows both individuals and groups to explore, shape and symbolically represent ideas and feelings and their consequence. The Drama Department offers many opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities.
